St. Mary's Parent Patnership

The aim of a Parent Partnership is to ensure that the wider parental community (Parent Forum) are able to make their views known at school and local authority level, and to ensure they are kept up to date with developments to do with learning and teaching as well as with the school estates policy.

Membership of the Parent Partnership can include parents, teachers, church members and other members of the school community. At the moment our council consists of 10 parents, 3 teachers, Monsignor Carlin and our active schools coordinator.

Some of the tasks that your parent council currently carries out includes the following: 

  • Organise parental events
  • Organise fundraising
  • Support school events
  • Participate in local authority meetings
  • Assist school management team
  • Manage Parent Partnership funds
  • Communicate parental concerns
  • Communicate to the Parent Forum
  • Meet bi-monthly

Meetings are open to all members of the Parent Forum, as is membership of the Parent Partnership.
